The heritage

Founded in 2001. Still doing the same work — just with more practice behind it.

Maria Nolan founded SeeChange Consulting in 2001. For two decades she ran it as a partnership — Maria and Tracy Cooper — building a practice in change management and strategy execution across regional Queensland. When Tracy left in 2024 to start her own work, Maria stepped forward as the firm's solo principal.

So today's SeeChange isn't a new venture. It's a 23-year body of work, distilled into one trusted advisor — the calm, the questions and the structure that help a leadership team move from intent to done. Heritage you can lean on, without the weight of a big consultancy.

She works the way she always has: alongside you, not above you. Rigorous but unhurried. Grounded in real boards and executive teams, not slide decks.

The path here

From the classroom to the boardroom.

Every part of Maria's career has been about the same thing: helping people think well enough to act. The settings changed; the work didn't.

1997

Teaching & education

Began in Catholic primary teaching, earning a Graduate Diploma of Education (Australian Catholic University, 1997–98). The teacher's instinct — ask the question that unlocks the thinking — still sits at the centre of how she works.

Early 2000s

QLD Dept of Primary Industries · rural leadership

Moved into the Queensland Department of Primary Industries, leading rural and regional leadership development — including the Building Rural Leaders Program. This is where her deep roots in regional Queensland agribusiness and primary industry were laid down.

2001

SeeChange Consulting founded

Established her own practice, run as a partnership with Tracy Cooper. Over two decades it grew into a trusted change-management and facilitation firm serving boards and executive teams across the state.

2000s–now

Change management & facilitation

Deepened into change management (Prosci-accredited), action-learning facilitation and strategy execution — codifying the work into the C.A.P.E.R.™ method she runs with teams today.

2024

Solo principal

When Tracy moved on to her own practice, Maria took the helm of SeeChange alone — a 23-year brand around one seasoned senior advisor. Same standards, sharper focus.
